As a Preschool Educator with LSF, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing daily lesson plans that provide educational and enrichment activities for pre-school age children. You will create a safe and effective learning environment, assess children's developmental needs, and develop individual education plans. You will also communicate with parents, conduct health checks, and ensure that lessons align with the Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and implement daily lesson plans for pre-school age children
• Create a safe and effective learning environment
• Assess children's developmental needs and develop individual education plans
• Communicate with parents through conferences, written correspondence, and telephone
• Conduct health checks and ensure lessons align with the Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Standards

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Two years of experience teaching Head Start, Early Head Start, pre-school, or kindergarten age children
• Bilingual preferred: English/Spanish or English and other languages present in the local area
• Working knowledge of brain development, child development, and developmentally appropriate practices
• Ability to plan, organize, and supervise the work of others
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
