We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Permanent Teacher Aide - Special Education to join our team at Knox County Schools. As a Teacher Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs, assisting teachers with classroom management, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Job Summary:

We are hiring 100's of Special Education Permanent Teacher Aides to work with students who require additional support and guidance. As a Permanent Teacher Aide, you will work closely with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans, provide one-on-one support to students, and help with classroom activities and management.

Responsibilities:

• Support students with special needs during day-to-day activities, including academic and social skills development
• Assist teachers with classroom management, supervision, and instruction
• Help with set-up and preparation of classroom equipment, materials, and activities
• Supervise students during classroom, schoolyard, hallway, field trips, and other programs

Qualifications:

• Minimum of GED or High School Diploma
• Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
