Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a passionate and experienced Pre-K Teacher to join our team in Holiday, FL. As a Pre-K Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and making a lasting impact on their educational journey. Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented and dedicated Pre-K Teacher to lead our classroom and provide high-quality educational experiences for pre-school aged children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and implement daily lesson plans that provide educational and enrichment activities for pre-school age children
• Screen and assess children to determine developmental/educational needs and develop individual education plans
• Monitor meal and snack periods, classroom and restroom activities, and playground activities to ensure a safe environment
• Communicate with parents through parent conferences, written correspondence, and telephone to apprise them of child's progress
• Conduct health checks on children and report any health concerns to the Health Coordinator
• Ensure lessons and classroom activities align with the Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Standards

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree
• Two years of experience teaching Head Start, Early Head Start, pre-school or kindergarten age children
• Bilingual preferred: English/Spanish or English and other languages present in the local area
• Working knowledge of brain development, child development, and culture and practices for early childhood
• Ability to plan, organize, and supervise the work of others
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
