Senior Project Manager (Healthcare) – Remote (Pacific Time) Position Overview We are partnering with a mission-driven healthcare organization seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-impact initiatives that support clinical operations, patient services, and enterprise transformation efforts. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while collaborating across clinical, operational, and technical teams. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of healthcare environments, regulatory considerations, and project delivery best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle management of complex healthcare projects, from initiation through implementation and close-out
- Drive execution of multiple concurrent initiatives across clinical, operational, and administrative functions
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies
- Partner with stakeholders including clinical leaders, IT teams, and executive leadership to ensure alignment and project success
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy standards, and organizational policies
- Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and executive reporting
- Oversee vendor coordination and cross-functional collaboration
- Establish metrics and KPIs to track success and optimize outcomes
- Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in project management
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of project management experience, including leading large-scale or enterprise-level initiatives
- Hands-on experience using Smartsheet is required
- Proven track record managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in healthcare, health systems, payer, or related environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Candidate must reside in Oregon, Idaho, Washington, or Utah
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Familiarity with PMI/PMBOK methodologies or similar frameworks
- Experience supporting healthcare transformation, process improvement, or system implementations
- Exposure to regulatory or compliance-driven environments (e.g., HIPAA)
