The Patient Ambassador Role

As a Patient Ambassador, you will be responsible for delivering patient-focused support services across a multidisciplinary scope, including:

• Operating TUG robots to deliver and exchange supplies and patient meals to nursing units
• Assisting in food and nutrition services, linen, laundry services, housekeeping, and supply management
• Providing patient-focused support services within a multidisciplinary scope
• Performing duties in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver patient-focused support services across a multidisciplinary scope

• Operate TUG robots for the delivery and exchange of supplies and patient meals to nursing units
• Assist in food and nutrition services, linen, laundry services, housekeeping, and supply management
• Perform duties in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care
• Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required

Essential Qualifications

* Food Handlers certification within 90 days of hire

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Interest in learning new skills and growth within the department
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Additional languages preferred

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a healthcare setting

• Experience working with TUG robots or similar technology
• Knowledge of food and nutrition services, linen, laundry services, housekeeping, and supply management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
