Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Patient Collections Coordinator to join our team in Monroeville, PA. As a Patient Collections Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate account payment for outstanding balances while providing exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance carriers. Key Responsibilities

As a Patient Collections Coordinator, you'll be responsible for:
  • Following up with patients/guarantors on open invoices associated with the dispensing of prescription medication via telephone, Internet, and in writing.
  • Resolving issues with nonpayment of invoices due to insurance problems and patient issues that may have resulted from incorrect or incomplete information, therapy changes, and pharmacy or shipping errors.
  • Maintaining supporting chronological notes that detail action taken to resolve outstanding account balances.
  • Maintaining patient demographic information and data collection systems, including all billing or collection reports or queues, while remaining in accordance with company policy guidelines.
  • Contacting patient/guarantor and Physician's offices as well as insurance companies as needed to expedite claims processing.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • 1+ years of healthcare-related experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to commute to the Monroeville, PA office.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:
  • Insurance or patient collections experience.
  • Customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience working in a healthcare reimbursement system.
  • Effective customer service skills and experience working in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to utilize analytical skills.
  • Ability to navigate through multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize based on importance.
  • Ability to communicate with clientele in a professional manner, both verbally and written.

Education

A verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required.
