Customer Service Representative - Remote Travel Expert (USA)

Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the face of our brand, interacting with customers via telephone and assisting with hotel, rental car, and flight reservations. You'll help customers change travel plans, confirm or obtain their itinerary, request refunds, or report travel issues. Our remote office provides a state-of-the-art and comfortable workspace, and you'll enjoy flexible scheduling, allowing you to select when you work and when you don't.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls from customers and provide exceptional service
  • Review customer history as necessary to provide personalized support
  • Follow policy and procedure guidelines to ensure seamless customer experience
  • Assist customers with changing travel plans, providing or confirming travel itineraries, and processing refunds
  • Help customers solve travel issues and provide empathy when needed
  • Place outbound calls to travel partners (hotels, rental car agencies, etc.) as necessary
  • Document information and outcomes as necessary to maintain accurate records

Requirements

  • Prior customer service experience required
  • Strong geographical knowledge and experience working in the travel industry or personal experience using travel products (preferred)
  • Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively
  • Highly proficient in using the internet and navigating multiple applications
  • Computer and equipment meeting the following specifications:
    • High-speed, hardwired internet (no Wi-Fi or satellite)
    • Windows 10 operating system
    • Intel Core i5 processor, 1.5 GHz and above
    • 8GB of RAM
    • 256GB hard drive
    • Dual monitors, each capable of displaying at least 1920 x 1080 pixels
    • Sound card and USB noise-canceling headset

Contracting Information

NexRep contracts with people in 34 states. The only states we do not currently contract in are: AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, IL, MA, MD, ME, MO, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VT, and WA. We do not currently contract with anyone outside of the US.
