Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Work-Based Learning Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining professional contacts with employers, recruiting business partners, and developing internship and job placement opportunities for students. You will also supervise and evaluate internship students, monitor employer satisfaction, and maintain placement records. Additionally, you will provide support for students in obtaining jobs, develop job-seeking and job-survival skills, and facilitate events to promote career development.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain professional contacts with employers for career and college readiness
• Recruit business partners for shadow, co-op, and internship sites, as well as advisory council members
• Develop and maintain a system for tracking employer information and needs
• Arrange employer visits and guest speakers to enhance student awareness of Erie 1 BOCES training
• Coordinate student placement activities, including internships and job development
• Supervise and evaluate internship students, in conjunction with site supervisors and program instructors
• Monitor employer satisfaction and student placement satisfaction
• Maintain placement records and complete state-required reports
• Provide support for students in obtaining jobs and developing job-seeking and job-survival skills
• Facilitate events to promote career development, including college fairs and industry-specific events
