About the position

As a Senior Project Manager in the Food and Beverage Supply Chain at Target, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic direction for operating solutions that optimize and scale highly efficient supply chain operations. This position is integral to ensuring that Target's Food Supply Chain evolves effectively, allowing the company to deliver the right products to guests in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be part of a dynamic team that is focused on enhancing the temperature-controlled network, improving guest experiences, and implementing innovative processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness across the supply chain. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various departments, including Food and Beverage, Global Supply Chain Logistics (GSCL), Technology, and Stores, to co-create solutions that reduce labor costs and improve the speed and quality of replenishment activities. You will be tasked with scoping a wide range of reporting and data analytic initiatives, identifying specific problems, assessing potential impacts, and determining the resources required to address these challenges. This role requires a proactive and creative mindset, as you will need to navigate varying degrees of ambiguity while working towards clear objectives. In this position, you will also be responsible for supporting the integration of reporting technology for new distribution nodes and developing data science analytic tools that empower field teams to optimize operations. Your ability to analyze data and present findings will be crucial in helping team members make informed, profitable decisions. You will interface with business representatives and leaders to validate business requirements for reporting solutions, ensuring that the methods used to gather data and present information are effective and aligned with business needs. Documentation of design and requirements for reporting solutions will also be a key part of your role, as will communication with project and team managers to share knowledge and insights.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • ,
  • 5+ years relevant experience in business analysis, business intelligence or BI report development
  • ,
  • Strong SQL skills
  • ,
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex analysis to clients regardless of their technical expertise
  • ,
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end process flow within a distribution center
  • ,
  • Strong ability to resolve simple and complex problems/defects related to reporting, dashboards and operational flow
