Responsibilities

• Lead all month-end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations for the facility
• Maintain accurate cost accounting systems and partner with operations to analyze cost drivers
• Prepare financial statements and management reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Oversee inventory accounting, cycle counts, and related reporting
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in financial controls
• Supervise and mentor the local accounting staff
• Act as a key liaison between plant management and the corporate finance team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA credential
• Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience, ideally including leadership in a manufacturing setting
• Strong background in cost accounting, inventory control, and plant-level financial reporting
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel for data analysis
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders
• Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset suited to a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
