Role Overview – Senior Product Manager, Customer Experience (Remote)

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Manager who will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of our flagship customer‑experience product line. In this role, you will blend strategic vision with tactical execution to translate market insights and user empathy into high‑impact product roadmaps. You will partner with cross‑functional teams—including engineering, design, finance, and go‑to‑market specialists—to deliver solutions that drive sales, improve operational efficiency, and elevate customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning (≈ 50 % of time)

  • Deep User Empathy: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand the pain points, motivations, and workflows of our end users. Use these insights to prioritize the fastest paths to value.
  • Product Vision & Roadmap: Translate business objectives and user needs into a clear product strategy. Communicate this vision to development teams, matrixed partners, and third‑party vendors.
  • Metrics & Analytics: Define success metrics, set OKRs, and establish analytics frameworks that measure product performance against revenue, efficiency, and satisfaction goals.
  • Backlog Management: Own the product backlog, continuously grooming and reprioritizing items based on data‑driven insights and stakeholder feedback.
  • Financial Collaboration: Work closely with Finance to develop business cases, forecast revenue, and align product investments with corporate financial targets.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor moves to ensure arenaflex products remain best‑in‑class.
  • Balanced Decision‑Making: Align user‑centric design with business imperatives, ensuring every product decision supports sales growth, operational efficiency, and superior customer experiences.

Delivery & Execution (≈ 20 % of time)

  • Hypothesis‑Driven Development: Formulate, test, and refine assumptions through rapid prototyping, user testing, and A/B experiments.
  • Quality & Change Control: Document requirements, enforce quality standards, and oversee change‑control processes to maintain product integrity.
  • User Story Management: Create, prioritize, and accept user stories; integrate them into sprint planning and release cycles.
  • Value‑Focused Decision‑Making: Make daily product decisions that maximize delivered value while balancing technical constraints and dependencies.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex technical concepts into clear, non‑technical language for executives, sales teams, and customers.
  • Agile Participation: Actively engage in stand‑ups, iteration planning, demos, and retrospectives to keep the team aligned and focused.

People & Leadership (≈ 30 % of time)

  • Collaboration Champion: Foster a collaborative environment across Engineering, UX, Data, and Business teams to remove impediments and accelerate delivery.
  • Modern Development Advocate: Promote best practices such as paired programming, test‑driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
  • Customer Advocate: Serve as the voice of the end user, ensuring product decisions always reflect real‑world needs and expectations.
  • Team Development: Mentor junior product managers, guiding them through strategy formulation, backlog grooming, and stakeholder management.
  • Learning Community Contributor: Participate in communities of practice, share knowledge, and drive continuous learning across the product organization.
  • Talent Stewardship: Contribute to talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention initiatives to build a high‑performing product team.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of product management experience in a modern, agile software development environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering customer‑focused products that generate measurable business outcomes.
  • Hands‑on experience with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and XP practices such as paired programming, test‑driven development, and continuous deployment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to define, track, and interpret product metrics and KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging technical and non‑technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct user research, synthesize findings, and translate them into actionable product requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3‑6 years of experience leading product initiatives for enterprise‑grade SaaS solutions.
  • Deep familiarity with competitive analysis techniques and market‑size modeling.
  • Experience guiding cross‑functional teams through complex product launches and post‑launch optimization.
  • Proficiency in creating compelling product narratives that align with corporate vision and market positioning.
  • Prior experience mentoring junior product managers and contributing to organizational learning programs.
  • Exposure to financial planning, budgeting, and ROI modeling for new product opportunities.

Core Competencies & Skills

  • Strategic Insight: Ability to anticipate market shifts and craft forward‑looking product strategies.
  • Customer Focus: Passion for building solutions that solve real user problems and enhance satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Skilled at building partnerships across diverse functional groups.
  • Communication: Clear, concise, and persuasive storytelling for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Innovation: Comfortable experimenting, learning from failures, and iterating quickly.
  • Complexity Management: Aptitude for navigating ambiguous, high‑volume information environments.
  • Adaptability: Nimble in responding to shifting priorities and evolving business needs.
  • Empathy: Deep understanding of stakeholder perspectives, fostering trust and alignment.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

arenaflex offers a competitive total‑reward package that includes:
