Why This Contract Role Matters

In the fast‑paced world of energy exploration and production, accurate data entry is the backbone of effective land administration. Our Contract Data Entry Associates play a pivotal role in ensuring that property records, legal descriptions, and ownership information are captured flawlessly within our SAP‑PRA system. This precision enables arenaflex to make informed decisions, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and uphold strong relationships with landowners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Division of Interest Management: Assist in the establishment, update, and maintenance of Division of Interest (DOI) records within the SAP‑PRA platform, ensuring that all entries reflect current contractual and legal realities.
  • Legal Description Interpretation: Accurately interpret and load complex legal descriptions of land parcels, translating them into system‑compatible data formats.
  • Property & Owner Identification: Independently research and verify property details and ownership information based on incoming correspondence, ensuring that all data points are cross‑checked against authoritative sources.
  • Due Diligence Mailings: Support the preparation, mailing, and tracking of Due Diligence letters, contributing to owner tracking and escheat activities that protect arenaflex’s interests.
  • Customer Interaction: Handle routine correspondence and telephone inquiries from interest owners, providing clear, courteous, and timely responses.
  • Correspondence Preparation: Draft, format, and distribute letters and notices in accordance with analysts’ instructions, maintaining consistency and professionalism.
  • Network Development: Build and nurture a network of internal and external contacts, fostering positive rapport and facilitating seamless information flow.
  • Land Management Principles: Apply basic land‑management concepts and best practices to support broader departmental objectives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ year of direct experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably within land or title departments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) at an intermediate level.
  • Solid foundational math skills to perform calculations related to acreage, royalties, and lease terms.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities, with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
  • Strong customer‑service orientation, capable of handling inquiries with empathy and efficiency.
  • Self‑accountability for meeting goals, adhering to deadlines, and delivering high‑quality work.
  • Logical decision‑making skills, with the ability to assess information critically and act accordingly.
  • Experience with SAP‑PRA Ownership Module or comparable land‑ownership software is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with oil/gas law, real property/title law, and relevant government regulations enhances candidacy.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of land‑management workflows, including title research, lease administration, and escheat processes.
  • Exposure to contract management tools and document‑control systems beyond SAP‑PRA.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with analysts, legal teams, and field personnel.
  • Proven track record of maintaining data integrity in high‑volume environments.
  • Experience in drafting formal correspondence, such as notices, letters of intent, and compliance reports.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous data entry and verification to prevent costly errors.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Analytical Thinking: Interpreting legal language and translating it into actionable data entries.
