Experienced Patient Registration Customer Service Representative – Healthcare Front Desk & Patient Intake Specialist
Join arenaflex as a Patient Registration Customer Service Representative
Are you searching for a meaningful career where every interaction matters? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where your ability to listen, empathize, and multitask can genuinely impact someone's day? arenaflex invites you to bring your customer service expertise into the heart of healthcare, where compassion meets precision and every patient encounter becomes an opportunity to make a difference.
arenaflex is a leading provider of technology-driven solutions that transform the patient experience and operational performance of hospitals, health systems, and medical groups across the country. We are the one company that combines the deep expertise of a global workforce of revenue cycle professionals with the industry's most advanced technology platform, encompassing sophisticated analytics, artificial intelligence, intelligent automation, and seamless workflow orchestration. Our solutions help healthcare organizations work smarter, so they can focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care to the patients and communities they serve.
As a Patient Registration Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be the welcoming face and reassuring voice for patients entering the hospital. You'll work directly with patients during one of the most vulnerable moments of their healthcare journey, helping them check in, collecting critical information, and answering their questions with warmth and professionalism. This isn't a typical desk job. It's a dynamic, people-centered role where no two days are the same, and your ability to stay calm, organized, and compassionate will define your success.
What You'll Do Every Day
As a key member of the Patient Registration team, you will play an essential role in setting the tone for every patient's experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Patient Intake and Registration: Greet patients upon arrival, verify their personal and insurance information, and accurately input data into our advanced registration systems. You will work across multiple screens and platforms to collect details quickly and correctly between physician and nurse check-ins, ensuring a seamless flow of information for clinical staff.
- Phone and In-Person Communication: Answer incoming calls, respond to patient questions, and assist with scheduling or registration inquiries. You'll serve as a reliable point of contact for patients, families, and clinical team members, providing clear and compassionate communication at all times.
- Compassionate Patient Support: Help people who may be ill, injured, anxious, or overwhelmed. You'll ask thoughtful follow-up questions, listen actively, and build genuine rapport to ease concerns and reduce stress during what can be a difficult time for patients and their loved ones.
- Multitasking in a Dynamic Environment: Navigate interruptions gracefully, including emergent clinical situations where clinicians may need to step in. You'll balance competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and a calm demeanor.
- Insurance and Coverage Verification: Collect and verify insurance details, learning the nuances of various health plans and coverage options through our comprehensive training programs. While the data may be predictable, the people sharing it certainly aren't — expect the unexpected and respond with grace.
- Standing and Mobile Support: Spend much of your shift on your feet, moving throughout the registration area to assist patients directly, complete paperwork, and ensure a smooth check-in process.
- Collaboration with Clinical Teams: Partner closely with nurses, physicians, and other hospital staff to coordinate patient flow, communicate important information, and support the broader care team in delivering outstanding service.

- Multitasking Ability: The confidence and capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy, sometimes unpredictable environment.
- Physical Stamina: The ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the registration area as needed.
