Role Overview – Remote Business Development Specialist

arenaflex is seeking a self‑motivated, results‑driven Business Development Specialist to join our growing Customer Care team. This remote position is the engine that drives new business opportunities, nurtures client relationships, and closes high‑value contracts that fuel our rapid expansion. You will work closely with our sales, engineering, and project delivery teams to ensure a seamless end‑to‑end experience for our customers.

In this role you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities that range from $500 K to $1 M+ in annual recurring revenue (ARR). Your success will be measured by the volume and quality of the pipeline you build, the speed at which you move deals through the sales cycle, and your ability to exceed quarterly revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect & Lead Generation: Conduct targeted outreach using LinkedIn, industry events, referrals, and inbound leads to build a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.
  • Solution‑Based Selling: Develop customized proposals that align arenaflex’s energy‑efficiency solutions with the specific operational and financial goals of each prospect.
  • Quote & Contract Management: Prepare accurate cost estimates, credit terms, and contract documents; negotiate terms to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • CRM Mastery: Utilize HubSpot (or equivalent) to track all activities, maintain detailed records, and forecast revenue with precision.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product, and implementation teams to ensure proposals are technically sound and deliverable.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients, providing ongoing support, answering technical questions, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather competitive intelligence, monitor industry trends, and provide feedback to product and marketing teams to refine go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Produce weekly and monthly sales reports, pipeline analyses, and revenue forecasts for senior leadership.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the sales process and propose enhancements to increase efficiency and win rates.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of proven B2B sales experience, preferably in energy‑efficiency, clean‑tech, or industrial solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to close deals of $500 K+ ARR, with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
