[Remote] Project Manager

Remote role Full-time Open position

They are seeking a Project Manager to lead various projects aimed at optimizing operational processes within healthcare, ensuring effective collaboration among stakeholders and managing project risks and resources effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across teams to develop planning material and estimates
  • Own project methodology deliverables, including schedule, charter, and forecast
  • Project operations up to and including activation and transition to operations
  • Drive effort and seek clarity on barriers
  • Proactively manage issues / risks and document as such
  • Forecast resources and other project costs and support financial cycle
  • Lead project team meetings (including minutes as needed, tracking issues, risks, milestones, and timelines)
  • Provide weekly status reporting
  • Apply standards (PMO / Program) and ensure document compliance (Project Artifacts)
  • Projects will include implementation of tools and systems to support: Longitudinal patient tracking and care coordination across acute, post-acute, and ambulatory settings
  • Payer contract modeling and analytics to support value-based care negotiations
  • Health data integration and real-time reporting aligned to clinical and operational use cases

Skills

  • Highly experienced in EHR delivery and managing multiple projects end to end
  • Experience working with/overseeing product development team(s) within a healthcare/provider environment, preferably an enterprise healthcare system
  • Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders—business, clinical, technical, and vendors—ensuring every detail is taken care of, driving toward on-time delivery
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources—including third-party vendors
  • Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans
  • Ensures open lines of communication for all team members
  • Ensure the correct resources are identified and are actively involved
  • At times will need to take initiative and track down the correct resources

  • Some level of clinical experience with knowledge of at least one of the primary acute EMRs (Athena, Cerner preferred)
  • Experience with care coordination or HIE-enabling platforms and working with agile or product management teams
  • Ability to connect the intent of the project to the work of clinical and operational end users
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical, business, and clinical teams
  • Financial reporting skills (ability to track financial spend on project)
  • Experience with ServiceNow and capital resource allocation
  • Prior experience with enterprise health systems or knowledge of Ascension preferred
  • Must be able to lead projects, with cameras on in a remote environment
  • Must be able to explain how they approach a project
  • Must be able to explain the life cycle of a project and how they handle each step
  • Experience supporting or working within population health initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager (PM) partnering closely with end users, particularly in population health environments
  • Proven experience in the healthcare industry, preferably with a strong understanding of value-based care models, Medicare, and Medicaid
  • Knowledge of Ascension preferred
