Position Overview

We are seeking a Remote Benefits Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic Benefits Call Center team. In this role, you will be the trusted voice that guides employees through their healthcare, retirement, and ancillary benefit options. You will handle a steady flow of inbound calls, navigate multiple internal systems, and deliver clear, empathetic solutions that enhance the overall employee experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound benefit‑related inquiries with professionalism, courtesy, and a solutions‑oriented mindset.
  • Explain complex benefit plans—including health insurance, dental, vision, retirement savings, and supplemental perks—in plain language.
  • Navigate multiple arenaflex platforms and client‑specific portals to retrieve accurate information quickly.
  • Document each interaction accurately in the CRM system, ensuring compliance with data‑privacy standards.
  • Identify opportunities to cross‑sell or upsell additional benefit options when appropriate, while maintaining a customer‑first focus.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior specialists or supervisors, following established escalation protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions, role‑plays, and knowledge‑share meetings to continuously improve product expertise.
  • Maintain a consistent attendance record and adhere to scheduled shift times, including any required overtime.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing best practices and supporting colleagues during peak periods.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (post‑secondary education is a plus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a clear, friendly telephone voice.
  • Demonstrated empathy and a genuine passion for helping people solve problems.
  • Proficiency with keyboarding and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to pass a background check, including employment and education verification; a drug test may be required.
  • Reliable high‑speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps download, 5 Mbps upload) and the ability to connect via Ethernet cable.
  • Strong multitasking abilities—capable of handling multiple calls, screens, and data entry tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a call‑center or customer‑service environment, especially within benefits administration.
  • Familiarity with health‑care terminology, retirement plan structures, and employee‑perk programs.
  • Experience using CRM or ticketing systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk).
  • Certification in customer service excellence or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance metrics such as Average Handle Time (AHT) and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) scores.

Work Schedule & Environment

This is a 100 % remote position. Training runs Monday‑Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm EST, at a rate of $15 per hour. Once you transition to production, you will earn $16 per hour and enjoy full benefits from day one. Production shifts are flexible, covering any time between Monday and Sunday, 8 am – 9 pm EST. Overtime may be required during peak periods, and you will have the autonomy to select the shift that best aligns with your personal schedule.
