[Remote] AI Full Stack Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Runway is building AI to simulate the world by merging art and science. They are seeking an AI Full Stack Engineer to develop cutting-edge, AI-powered video creation tools and collaborate with a talented engineering team to create innovative features and improve code quality.
Responsibilities
- Create rich multimedia interfaces using the cutting edge of the latest AI video generation models Gen-4 and Aleph
- Build end-to-end full-stack AI-powered product features — designing and developing both frontend experiences and backend systems, including authoring server-side processes and APIs that power our generative AI tools
- Design and implement LLM-powered features and conversational interfaces
- Partner with a world-class engineering team pushing the boundaries of creativity and content creation on the browser
- Take on new challenges across the Frontend stack to implement product features for Runway’s machine learning based generative AI tools
- Improve the performance, reliability, and code quality of our codebases
Skills
- 3+ years of industry experience in a software engineering role, ideally full-stack focused
- Demonstrated fluency of one or more programming languages, including but not limited to JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience building with third-party AI APIs (e.g., chatbots, LLM integrations)
- Experience in architecting production-ready systems and familiarity with debugging and profiling tools
- Ability to rapidly prototype solutions and iterate on them with tight product deadlines
