Reimbursement Specialist - Patient Support Services A growing healthcare support organization is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist to support patients navigating insurance coverage and access to specialty medications. This role works closely with patients, providers, pharmacies, and insurance companies to assist with benefits verification, prior authorizations, copay assistance, and reimbursement support.

Responsibilities

  • Verify insurance benefits and coverage
  • Support prior authorizations and appeals
  • Assist with copay and patient assistance programs
  • Handle inbound/outbound calls with patients, providers, and payers
  • Document case activity within CRM systems
  • Research and resolve reimbursement or claim issues
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and quality standards

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in reimbursement, benefits verification, patient access, healthcare customer service, or specialty pharmacy
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office preferred
