The Payroll Processing and Tax Support Analyst is responsible for analyzing multi-jurisdiction payroll tax data and reconciles calculations, and ensures that payroll information is reported to Federal, State and Local agencies as may be required. Ensure the Payroll preparation and processing is accurate and timely. Including, federal, multi-state and multi-jurisdiction withholding tax payments and returns.

Position Duties

  • Process periodic ACH payments on behalf of clients

  • Process and file validation of periodic Federal, State and Local taxation filing on behalf of clients

  • Assist clients with ACH and tax filing questions 

  • Assist in quarterly and annual taxation filing, reporting, compliance and reconciliation

  • Provide the research, analysis and necessary reconciliation to respond to and resolve agency related payroll tax notices

  • Troubleshooting payroll and tax issues, to find resolution 

  • Proper onboarding of new clients

  • Parallel reviews and historical validation of upcoming new clients 

  • Offer client support when required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills; both verbal and written

  • Excellent collaboration skills with team members and clients

  • Detailed oriented is a must

  • Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment

What You Have

  • Demonstrated experience performing payroll tax reconciliations and analysis

  • Proficient in Excel and Word 

  • General accounting experience

  • Strong technical aptitude

  • CPP accreditation

  • Experience working with payroll tax filing systems

  • Demonstrated ability to remain organized and multi-task
