What We Offer

Competitive Salary: $33,000 to $45,000 per year, based on qualifications, experience, and performance.

Essential Duties

As a Customer Care Advisor I - HI Claims, you'll be responsible for:

  • Demonstrating Expertise: Providing in-depth knowledge of our products and services to customers.
  • Exceptional Service: Listening, understanding, and empathizing with customers to deliver personalized support.
  • Claim Resolution: Reviewing and explaining coverage provisions, claim status, and completing follow-up activities.
  • System Navigation: Effectively using multiple systems to answer complex inquiries, investigate payments, and resolve concerns.
  • Member Advocacy: Acting as a member advocate by answering questions, offering alternative solutions, and anticipating member needs.
  • Documentation: Maintaining thorough documentation of service interactions to ensure comprehension by team members and customers.
  • Team Collaboration: Working cohesively with the service team to meet customer service performance metrics.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Expressing information and concepts clearly and professionally, adapting to the audience and situation.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Demonstrating ability to work in multiple administrative systems to locate information, investigate, and resolve questions related to service requests.
  • Self-Sufficiency: Managing time in a scheduled work environment and working well with other team members.
  • Basic MS Office Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, and email tools.
  • Data Protection: Understanding the sensitivity of customer data and demonstrating the ability to protect both customer and business information.

Required Education and Experience

We're looking for candidates with:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience or equivalent military experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

While not required, we welcome candidates with:

  • Some College Coursework: In the insurance field or related field.
  • LOMA Certification: LOMA 280/290 or 281/291 certification.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in healthcare, medical provider, insurance, medical terminology, claims processing, and/or medical coding.
  • SalesForce and/or CRM Tool Experience: Working knowledge and/or experience with SalesForce and/or CRM tools.
