We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused professional to join our team as an Insurance Customer Relations Specialist. As a key member of our sales support team, you'll play a vital role in providing comprehensive support to our sales team, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience.
Job Summary
As an Insurance Customer Relations Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Delivering exceptional customer service to clients via phone, website, and chat interactions
- Handling customer inquiries, preparing and processing sales documents, and managing customer accounts
- Providing guidance on insurance needs, offering estimates, and educating customers on options to increase or add coverage
- Researching, analyzing, and responding to customer policy inquiries and changes
- Quoting new and additional lines of insurance, preparing and completing insurance applications, and following up on required information
- Achieving performance goals, meeting pre-defined individual performance objectives focused on productivity and customer satisfaction
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed to support the team and meet customer demands
Responsibilities
* Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: + Build rapport with customers, gather necessary information, and create a positive, high-level customer experience in a fast-paced, structured environment + Utilize active listening skills to understand customer needs and concerns + Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Handle Customer Inquiries:
+ Answer incoming customer calls to service and maintain existing accounts + Ensure all interactions are handled efficiently and professionally + Provide clear and concise information to customers regarding their policies and coverage
- Educate and Advise Customers:
+ Offer guidance on insurance needs, provide estimates, and educate customers on options to increase or add coverage + Provide clear and concise information to customers regarding their policies and coverage + Utilize product knowledge to identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products
- Policy Management:
+ Research, analyze, and respond to customer policy inquiries and changes + Clearly explain specific coverage details and address billing questions + Utilize product knowledge to identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products
- Sales Support:
+ Quote new and additional lines of insurance + Prepare and complete insurance applications + Follow up on required information to ensure a smooth process
- Achieve Performance Goals:
+ Meet pre-defined individual performance objectives focused on productivity and customer satisfaction + Utilize data and analytics to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
- Flexibility:
+ Be available to work overtime as needed to support the team and meet customer demands + Utilize flexible scheduling to meet business needs and customer demands
Qualifications
* Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Familiarity with multiple insurance carriers and state insurance regulations is preferred
- Ability to multitask, stay detail-oriented, and maintain exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
- A team player with strong interpersonal abilities and the capacity to empathize with customers
- Solid computer and typing skills, with proficiency in navigating a Windows environment
- Competence in simultaneously navigating and toggling between multiple systems, including data entry, quoting applications, insurance software, and communication platforms
- Strong problem resolution skills to address and resolve customer concerns effectively
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
Education/Experience
* High School diploma or its equivalent
- Bachelor's degree a plus
- Active Resident Property & Casualty Insurance Producer license
- 1+ years customer service experience in the insurance or related industry

Pay Range
USD $39,531.00 - USD $69,051.00 /Yr.
