The Role
We're seeking an experienced Remote Data Entry Operator to join our team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our data management team, you'll be responsible for:
- Transferring data from paper formats to computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
- Entering data provided directly by customers with accuracy and attention to detail
- Creating spreadsheets with a large number of figures without errors
- Verifying data by comparing it with source documents
- Updating existing data to ensure it's up-to-date and easily accessible
- Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested
- Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation
- Sorting and organizing documentation after data entry to prevent data loss
Essential Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience as a data entry clerk (at least 1 year)
- Fast typing ability (at least 40 wpm) with knowledge of touch typing system
- Excellent knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet tools (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
- Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
- Basic knowledge of databases
- Good command of English, both oral and written, and good customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
