Utilities Permit Agent - Phoenix, AZ

ORC is a respected right-of-way acquisition firm that shapes infrastructure and communities for the future. They are seeking a Utilities Permit Agent to identify required permits, conduct research, and utilize GIS for property research and mapping.

Responsibilities

  • Identify all required permits for road crossings, foreign utility crossings, rail crossings, water crossings, and special/conditional use scenarios
  • Conduct in-depth research using online databases, courthouse records, and recorded documents to determine permitting requirements
  • Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to perform property research and maintain accurate mapping and data records
  • Apply knowledge of real property concepts and instruments to ensure compliance with permit-related regulations and documentation standards

Skills

  • Minimum of one (1) year of Utility Permitting or a related field
  • Must have experience working with or within a state's Department of Transportation
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Electric transmission/distribution experience
