[Remote] Site Engineer - The Pas Manitoba

The Site Engineer role involves providing support for account operations, collaborating with sales management, conducting testing, and engaging with customers to ensure effective chemical utilization.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive support for account operations, ensuring the effective, economical, and safe utilization of chemicals and equipment
• Collaborate closely with sales management to develop and execute chemical programs
• Communicate with sales management regarding account activities to keep all stakeholders informed
• Conduct necessary testing at the account to verify the safety and efficacy of treatment programs
• Engage proactively in the event of issues at customer sites, addressing concerns and collaborating with sales management and customer teams to devise corrective strategies
• Perform data analysis to evaluate program performance and aid in decision-making processes for ongoing improvements
• Collaborate with and support process owners in a factory environment to proactively lead and implement continuous improvements

Skills

• B.S. in Science or Engineering
• 1-3 years industry experience (pulp & paper or water treatment)
• Documented results making process improvements, solving complex and non-routine technical problems
• Project management experience
• Strong relationship building skills
• Good communication skills both written and oral with multiple organizational levels
• Experience learning new concepts and/or technology and applying them
• Ability to work with autonomy
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude and skills
• Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
