Senior Accounting Manager | Rapid Growth Creative Media Business | Remote Base pay range: $140,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Additional compensation: Annual Bonus The Client Harmonic are excited to be retained by one of the world’s fastest growing media and content production businesses. By identifying independent and emerging talent in the creative industries they use their platform to elevate new directors and authors and quickly access highly engaged audiences with influencer and celebrity partnerships. Having helped produce and distribute multiple award‑winning shows and books in the last 24 months including ‘NY Times Best Sellers’ revenue has grown from circa $5m in 2024 to $25m in 2025. They are forecasting nearly 100% growth in 2026 to circa $50m. The Role The Senior Accounting Manager (open to using Director of Accounting or Assistant Controller titles) will report to the Head of Finance and own the build out of the Accounting function. Initially bringing the Accounting function in house the Senior Accounting Manager will own the setup of month end processes and financial controls. From there the role will own month‑end and year‑end working closely with auditors while also overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.

Responsibilities

• Support the setup of month end in Netsuite
• Own the monthly close and continuously improve processes for growth
• Ensure robust US GAAP financial controls are implemented including ASC 606 revenue recognition
• Establish inventory control and stock reporting processes
• Establish and oversee royalties accounting
• Own the year end process working closely with auditors
• Liaise with tax advisors to ensure tax compliance
• Manage all day to day accounting activities (AP, AR, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll)
• Support the Head of Finance with ad‑hoc projects
• Develop a team as the business grows

What you need

• Either a qualified CPA (ideally Big 4) or relevant industry experience
• Ideally worked in either Creative Industries (TV & Film, Music, Media, Publishing) OR ecommerce
• Excited to work in a scale‑up business
• Commercially astute and able to build relationships with senior stakeholders

What we’d like to see

• Degree in Accounting or MBA
• CPA qualification is preferred
• Experience in Book or Magazine Publishing
• Some experience with either royalties accounting or inventory accounting
