Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Chat Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Handling real-time chat conversations with customers via our web-based chat system
  • Responding to customer inquiries in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner
  • Managing multiple conversations simultaneously using structured chat workflows
  • Utilizing templates and saved replies to maintain efficiency while personalizing your tone
  • Looking up customer information using our CRM tools
  • Flagging and escalating complicated issues to the right departments
  • Keeping notes for every interaction to ensure seamless follow-up and support

What You Don’t Need

* A college degree

  • A résumé full of buzzwords and internships
  • Years of experience in customer service
  • Any background in tech
  • Any specialized certifications

What You Do Need

* Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute

  • Professional writing style with proper spelling and grammar
  • Comfort using a web browser, tabs, copy/paste, and basic navigation
  • A desktop or laptop computer (Windows or Mac)
  • High-speed internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps download)
  • Quiet space to work uninterrupted during scheduled shifts
  • A positive attitude, patience, and willingness to learn fast

Work Schedule Options

You’re managing a few chats at once, typing efficiently, and keeping each person satisfied. You take a short break mid-shift, check your chat ratings at the end of the day, and log off knowing you helped dozens of people without picking up the phone or putting on a name tag.
