Job Summary

As an Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate – Remote Data Entry Position at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and data entry support to our pharmacy team. You will work closely with our pharmacists and other team members to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of care and service. This is a remote position, and you will be working from home with a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to our patients and customers, including greeting them, answering their questions, and resolving any issues they may have

  • Register sales on assigned sales register, collect cash, and disperse change as needed
  • Process voids, returns, delays, discounts, and trades as necessary
  • Take customers to the OTC walkway to help them find items
  • Keep counters and retirements clean and well-organized, take stock, and maintain records
  • Check in and cost stock as required or as directed by senior supervisor or shift leader
  • Perform tasks as assigned by Pharmacy Director, Staff Pharmacist, and Senior Supervisor, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and medication data, ensuring data is accurate, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring medication, confirming medication is correct, and checking for potential interactions
  • Report, immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhere to Organization policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program
  • Audit and follow the blithequark Co. Pharmacy Governance guidelines
  • Rigorously adhere to the blithequark Co. policy regarding Honest Intentions Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities
  • Handle calls that do not require individual attention of the pharmacist, including those to doctors
  • Process (revises and resubmits) manual cases for external program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the Pharmacy Director
  • Assist and support Pharmacy Division on stock management activities, such as ordering, unloading, checking, and storing shipments of medications
  • Maintain knowledge of Organization resource security methods, and record claims for distribution center overages (stock received, but not charged), deficiencies (stock charged, but not received), order errors, or damaged products including Rx medications
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled substances (e.g., cocktails and tobacco products)
  • Build and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and special displays, and finish resets and corrections as directed
  • Assist with division of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and item placement as determined by strategies/methods (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves)
  • Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment
  • Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital identification photo service, banner print, and creative machine, and interesting sales of special photo items
  • Take on web pick-up responsibilities (screens orders in Picture Care, handles orders (pick items), and delivers orders to customers as they arrive at the store)
  • Assist with outside and inside maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, and well-organized store condition and appearance
  • Adhere to all organization policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with colleagues
  • Complete special tasks and other assignments as directed

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree

  • Strong background in data entry and customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekend hours

Preferred Qualifications

* 6 months of experience in a retail environment

  • Previous work experience with blithequark
  • Strong numerical skills to accurately fill prescriptions, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
  • Strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of store stock control
  • PTCB certification
