Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated ABA Behavior Therapist / Behavior Technician to join our dynamic team in Barnardsville, NC. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with children and adolescents with ASD, implementing evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home ABA therapy to children and adolescents with ASD, implementing individualized treatment plans and behavioral support strategies.
  • Collect and analyze behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions, using this information to inform treatment decisions and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy, ensuring seamless integration of services.
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors, maintaining a high level of professionalism and adaptability in all aspects of your work.
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, demonstrating a strong commitment to reliability and punctuality.

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology) preferred.
  • Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting, with a strong focus on behavioral support and intervention.
  • 1-year ABA experience, or 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle, with a valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs, with the physical stamina to perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bending, kneeling, squatting, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time.
  • Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings, with a strong focus on adaptability and flexibility.
