Director of B2B Sales

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and driven B2B Sales Director to lead and execute on new customer acquisition across key institutional and professional buyer segments - including government agencies, universities, property management firms, and independent HVAC contractors. This role is focused on finding and developing long-term customers who buy frequently, in volume, and with recurring needs. You will be responsible for building and executing outbound sales strategies, closing new accounts, and building Voomi’s presence with high-value institutional buyers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business: Proactively identify and close new institutional buyers via outreach (calls, emails, visits) and develop a robust pipeline.

  • Own key relationships: Cultivate deep, long-term relationships with high-potential customers to drive repeat purchases and larger orders.

  • Segment strategy: Develop and refine targeting strategies for institutions, universities, government buyers, and commercial customers.

  • Sales operations: Work cross-functionally with internal teams (product, logistics, marketing, etc.) to deliver excellent service and tailored solutions.

  • Proposal & bidding: Identify RFP opportunities, manage proposal development, and support compliance requirements for government procurement.

  • Track & measure: Use CRM tools to track pipeline progress, customer touchpoints, and sales metrics for continuous improvement

  • Team building: Help recruit, mentor, and scale a high-performing B2B sales team as the customer base and opportunity set grow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience in HVAC, building materials, or industrial supply

  • HVAC industry knowledge strongly preferred

  • Proven success in outbound sales, customer acquisition, and relationship building

  • Experience selling to institutional customers such as government, education, or commercial property buyers

  • Highly organized with strong follow-up and pipeline management skills

  • Self-starter with a bias toward action and a strong desire to win

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to meet customers and attend events
