Product Manager, Content and Business Algorithms, Asset Understanding and Recommendations [Remote]

The Content and Business Product team builds a suite of tools and products to scale the operations behind taking a Netflix show from concept to streaming. This role will upscale these tools and products with algorithms and AI capabilities. As a Product Manager on the Content and Business Algorithms team at Netflix, you get to apply Machine Learning at high scale and high quality, in the service of creative excellence and user impact. This role can be based in a hybrid model in our Los Gatos or Los Angeles office or remote-based. Travel to our Los Gatos and/or Los Angeles offices will be required. In this role, you will:

  • Incubate Machine Learning capabilities with a talented and motivated team of applied researchers, analysts and engineers
  • Integrate these capabilities into enterprise-grade tools, in partnership with tooling and workflow Product Managers and engineers
  • Discover new needs that artists, creators and content executives have, that can be met with Machine Learning capabilities.
  • This role requires the use of computer vision, multimodal media understanding and retrieval/ranking/search to deeply understand our content, and optimize it for mobile experiences, whether on or off Netflix.

Skills Needed:

  • 3+ years of Product Management experience required
  • Demonstrated experience in setting joint goals and roadmaps with UX or tooling/product teams.
  • Previous experience in machine learning, algorithms and/or AI focused product management roles (specifically, computer vision, multimodal understanding, image and video ranking and recommendations).
  • Good understanding of the machine learning lifecycle (platform and/or infrastructure needs, data collection and labeling, training/compute, model evaluation, etc.)
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to present technical content to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to partner with different functions to ensure that your solutions drive real business impact.
  • Ability to distill artist and creator needs into impactful product roadmaps.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $120,000 - $515,000. Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
