Survey Field Technician - Full-time

Galloway & Company Inc. is looking for a Survey Field Technician to join our Team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Must possess and maintain a current driver license in good standing.
  • Basic understanding of the principles and practices of surveying, and use of land surveying equipment.
  • Capable of reading plans and understanding boundary and topography.
  • Able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Willing to travel for short periods of time.
  • Assisting the Party Chief and training daily in collecting field data for reestablishing, evaluating, or designing property boundaries for roads, pipelines, facility sites, subdivisions, and other right of ways and easements by visibly marking location boundaries.
  • Responsible for equipment maintenance, batteries being charged daily, and keeping survey truck well stocked with survey supplies, clean and orderly.
  • Assists Party Chief in reviewing survey computations to determine the accuracy of the data, and staking projects for construction.
  • Able to comply with required safety procedures and practices.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: May mentor and train more junior-level Survey staff.

Requirements

Qualifications Education

  • Must have a High School Diploma, associates or bachelor’s preferred.

Experience

  • 1 to 2 years of experience is preferred but not required.
  • Field experience is a plus.

The estimated starting base salary for this role is $21.00 – $28.00 per hour.
