About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. In this role, you will review and analyze clinical documentation to ensure it accurately reflects the quality, severity, and complexity of patient care. Your expertise will support compliance, coding accuracy, and optimal reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed reviews of clinical documentation to ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational standards. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify and enhance documentation quality. Identify and address gaps in documentation that impact coding and reimbursement accuracy. Provide education and feedback to clinicians on documentation best practices. Stay updated on current coding guidelines, clinical standards, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
Certification in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CCDS, CDIP) or equivalent. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in clinical documentation improvement or coding. Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and healthcare compliance guidelines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Reliable internet connection and secure home office setup for remote work.
