Be part of what truly makes us special and impactful. The Opportunity We are seeking a Risk Compliance Manager Lead for our AML and Sanctions Risk Assessment programs. This role will focus on developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust AML and sanctions risk assessment framework. Key responsibilities include leading data collection and integration efforts to ensure the proactive identification and mitigation of potential risks. The successful candidate will support the execution of AML and sanctions risk assessments, contributing to the overall compliance and risk management strategy of the organization. We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. What you'll do:

  • Anticipates and identifies future needs, opportunities and potential compliance solutions, and leads cross-functional teams through the problem resolution process.
  • Assesses results of data analyses, provides credible challenge and recommends innovative compliance solutions.
  • Develops, designs and delivers compliance strategies to influence business leadership on effective solutions and may represent leadership on complex issues.
  • Maintains and expands knowledge of the driven/regulatory landscape and the company's key challenges.
  • May coordinate and respond to regulatory requirements and requests and ensures the execution of examinations.
  • Performs compliance risk management activities in accordance with enterprise compliance standards.
  • Serves as the technical expert regarding compliance laws and regulations and provides direction to others on complex issues.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 8 or more years experience in compliance, risk, legal or audit within the financial services or insurance industry or niche technical fields directly related to the role.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and regulatory compliance in a specific area.
  • Knowledge of compliance laws, regulations, and regulatory expectations.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of regulatory compliance to consult and provide insight and guidance.
  • Ability to communicate all levels of management.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

What sets you apart:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with AML/sanctions compliance, with at least 2 years working with AML and Sanctions Risk Assessments and/or collection and delivery of data to in support of Risk Assessments.
  • Understanding of relevant regulations, including BSA, OFAC, and other applicable laws and guidance.
  • Experience in developing and implementing AML/sanctions risk assessment programs.
  • Strong report writing skills, including experience preparing regulatory reports.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Relevant certifications such as CAMS, CFCS, or similar

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $127,310 - $243,340. USAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role. Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
