We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician II to join our team in Brooklyn. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in supporting the Pharmacy Department's distribution process, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medications to our patients.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician II will be responsible for dispensing medical prescriptions, receiving and storing incoming supplies, and verifying stock to maintain inventory records. You will also be involved in the preparation of IV medications, medication station reviews, and inventory control. Key Responsibilities:

• Supports all departmental distribution processes, including delivery, stats, and cassette filling
• Handles pharmaceutical waste safely and responsibly
• Orders medications and supplies as needed from the wholesaler and Materials Services
• Prepares IV medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, following USP 797 regulations
• Conducts medication station reviews, including expiration date checks
• Refills automated dispensing cabinets and delivers medication to patient care areas
• Assists in inventory control, including checking expiration dates and maintaining drug stocks

Requirements:

• High School Diploma required
• Registered certified pharmacy technician through New York State
• Completion of an approved Pharmacy Technician Program preferred
• 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
• PTCB certification preferred
• Fluent in Spanish preferred
