Sr. Architect, IT Applications - Cyber Security

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Architect, IT Applications to join our team at American Airlines. As a key member of our Information Technology division, you will provide technical leadership and expertise in the architecture, design, development, and deployment of solutions within our client base.

Job Summary:

• Design and implement architectures that meet business requirements and align with industry best practices
• Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, standards, and guidelines for application development and deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications and systems
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
• Implement and manage Azure security, including network, host, and resource security, as well as monitoring and log analysis
• Develop and maintain SaaS/ASP applications across multiple business segments

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in application architecture and design
• Proven experience with Azure, IaC automation (Bicep or Terraform), and web development
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud computing concepts
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in cyber security and digital protection
• Airline industry experience
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and Agile methodologies
