Content Creator - ACT & SAT Prep (Remote, Student-Focused Startup)
Passionate about education and helping students succeed? 5 Academy, a college-student-run startup, is seeking a creative and motivated Content Creator to join our team! This is a remote opportunity to make a real impact by developing engaging video content for our YouTube channel, helping students master the ACT and SAT exams.
We create high-quality practice materials, including videos, study plans, and practice tests, designed to help students excel. As a Content Creator, you'll play a key role in expanding our reach and supporting students on their college prep journey. We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of the ACT/SAT, excellent communication skills, and a knack for creating compelling video content.
Responsibilities
- Plan, script, film, and edit at least 1 YouTube video per week focused on ACT/SAT exams, college prep strategies, and test-taking skills.
- Create engaging thumbnails and descriptions to maximize video discoverability.
- Optimize videos to drive traffic to our free and paid resources.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm new content ideas.
- Participate in weekly team meetings.
Skills & Qualifications
- Self-motivated, problem-solver, organized, and creative.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and comfortable speaking on camera.
- Proficiency in video editing software.
- Strong understanding of the ACT test and its four sections (English, Math, Reading, Science).
- Bonus points for a composite ACT score of 30+ and experience tutoring!
Compensation & Benefits
This is a task-based role with a competitive compensation structure: $25/hour per completed video, with potential weekly bonuses up to $100 for high-performing videos. We also offer equity eligibility for long-term commitment and outstanding performance.
