Join Our Team of Innovative Packaging Designers:
We're seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Packaging Industrial Designer to join our dynamic team at Workwarp. As a key member of our Package Design Studio, you will be responsible for designing next-generation packaging concepts that bring our brands to life and create meaningful experiences for our consumers. Your expertise in industrial design, packaging design, and engineering will enable you to conceptualize and develop innovative packaging solutions from idea to final development.What You'll Do for Us:
- Design and Development: Design next-generation packaging concepts from initial idea through development and commercialization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design, engineering, and development.
- Prototype Development: Lead the creation of rapid prototypes using 3D printing, label printing, and other technologies, researching new opportunities, methodologies, and technologies for prototype creation, and operationalizing these learnings into internal capabilities for the Packaging Design Studio.
- Technical Problem Solving: Provide engineering and consumer insights for design projects, ensuring feasibility through Design-For-Manufacturing principles and leveraging Consumer-Centric design principles.
- Internal Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with Engineering & Conversion, GDI, Brand, and Category partners to deliver consumer-centric packaging designs, using ideation and storytelling techniques to communicate design concepts and user experiences effectively.
- Competitive Benchmarking: Track new market entrants and assess their packaging effectiveness, sharing insights and operationalizing them into new design opportunities, and maintaining active industry engagement to stay current with the latest developments in external design agencies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in packaging design, industrial design, or a related discipline.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in concept ideation and consumer-centric design techniques, proficiency in 3D and 2D design software (Catia preferred, Rhino, KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.), ability to create effective storyboards and user journey mappings, excellent communication and storytelling skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
