Facilities Maintenance Specialist - Full-Time Opportunity

Join our dynamic team at SSC Services for Education as a Facilities Maintenance Specialist! We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our facilities team at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, FL. As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities, providing a safe and distraction-free learning environment for students of all ages.

This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary range of $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K with company match, and more. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operation of the building and campus
• Perform minor repairs to doors, fixtures, and furniture
• Record information from meters and gauges to verify operating conditions
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Monitor building security and safety, including locking doors and checking electrical appliance use
• Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery, clear debris, and remove snow from sidewalks and parking areas
• Set up and remove decorations, tables, chairs, and scaffolding for events
• Perform ad-hoc cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, and servicing restrooms

Requirements

• Previous residential and commercial maintenance experience preferred
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license may be required
• Ability to work a full-time schedule, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with one rotating on-call weekend per month
