Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer - Network Compliance & Automation

Job Description:

Join American Express as an Infrastructure Engineer - Network Compliance & Automation, where you will play a vital role in supporting the infrastructure that our team's automation frameworks and in-house developed applications live on. As a member of the Network Compliance & Automation team, you will collaborate closely with application teams to innovate and expand capabilities, optimize systems for performance and reliability, and contribute to the overall design process for our applications system architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain our self-managed Confluent Kafka infrastructure and application
  • Administrate and support server infrastructure for multiple applications
  • Remediate any discovered vulnerabilities related to server configuration or application
  • Develop new ways to automate tedious and manual tasks
  • Contribute to our ever-growing automation frameworks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of experience in a related field
  • 5+ Years of experience supporting RedHat Linux and Windows server infrastructure
  • 5+ Years of experience administrating and supporting Confluent Kafka
  • 2-3 Years of experience administrating and supporting Logstash
  • 2+ Years of experience developing automation or scripting with Python or a similar language
