Big Bend Community College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part-time Medical Assistant Instructor to join our team. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and teach assigned medical assistant core curriculum courses
  • Utilize best practices for teaching medical assisting and engage students to succeed
  • Meet class times and assist students with questions related to the course
  • Maintain safety practices in labs and support students' academic success
  • Foster a flexible and healthy learning environment with respect for student diversity

Requirements

  • Current and unencumbered Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or LPN/RN license
  • At least one year of clinical experience in an outpatient healthcare setting within the last five years
  • Experience teaching at a community college or providing training in a healthcare setting is desirable

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary: $862.94/credit (Step 1) or $880.19/credit (Step 2) for lecture, and $1,403.83/credit (Step 1) or $1,431.91/credit (Step 2) for lab
  • Quarterly contracts with opportunities for sick leave and benefits
