We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Professor or Clinical Teaching Assistant Professor of Biology to join our Department of Sciences and Mathematics. As a key member of our academic team, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and contributing to the university's mission of providing a superior education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach microbiology, introductory biology courses, and laboratories in cell and/or organismal biology to biology, health science, and nursing majors
• Develop and teach courses in your area of expertise, with opportunities for online and hybrid teaching
• Mentor and support students in classroom and laboratory-based settings, promoting inclusive pedagogy and student success
• Contribute to the development of new and innovative courses and programming, and recruit students to participate
• Collaborate with faculty and staff across campus to create a learning environment that promotes student persistence and success

Requirements:

• Earned Ph.D. in Biological Sciences for a tenure-track position, or ABD or Master's degree (with 18 graduate hours in a biological field) for a clinical teaching position
• Passion for teaching and commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff
• Ability to develop and teach courses in human anatomy and physiology (preferred)
