Long-Term Substitute Core Music Teacher Opportunity

Join Greenwich Public Schools as a Long-Term Substitute Core Music Teacher and inspire the next generation of musicians! As a long-term substitute core music teacher, you will play a vital role in developing students' understanding and appreciation of music, identifying and promoting their talents, and creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach core music to students at Glenville Elementary School
• Develop and implement a balanced music program that meets the needs of all students
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student musical learning and progress
• Modify instructional methods to fit individual student needs, including students with special needs
• Plan, coordinate, and direct students in musical programs and performances
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements:

• CT State Certification in Music, Grades PreK-12 (#049) required
• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy
• Ability to play an instrument or instruments and conduct students in playing instruments as needed
• Ability to instruct students in singing, harmonization, and chorus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
