Senior Session Monitor - Remote Opportunity

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Session Monitor to join our team at Ignite Reading, a public benefit corporation dedicated to providing one-to-one virtual tutoring to students who need extra support in reading. As a Senior Session Monitor, you will play a critical role in leading our team of Session Monitors, providing additional support to our Tutor Support team, and ensuring that our students receive the instruction they need to close foundational skills gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of dedicated Session Monitors through their shifts, providing guidance, troubleshooting support, and addressing any needs that may arise
• Conduct outreach to Tutors who miss or are late to their sessions, logging communication data in session monitoring logs
• Substitute for Tutors when needed, ensuring that students receive uninterrupted instruction
• Collaborate with the Tutor Support Manager and team to provide feedback and insights, helping to drive the success of our Tutor Support team
• Perform administrative tasks, including monitoring the sessions dashboard, updating student progress information, and ensuring adherence to Ignite org-wide and tutor policies
• Troubleshoot technology issues as they arise, providing support to Tutors and students

Requirements:

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple strategic projects
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to facilitate work with stakeholders, including building relationships in service of the mission of Ignite Reading's strategic priorities
• Extraordinary communication skills: written, verbal, and interpersonal
• Ability to be self-managing and flexible while working in a remote environment
• Minimum of 6 months working as an Ignite Reading Tutor and experience working as a Session Monitor for Ignite Reading
• Previous experience using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) and leadership or team lead roles are a plus
