Social Media Content Creator

Hill House Home is seeking a creative, strategic and extremely “online” Social Media Content Creator to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes social media and understands the power of storytelling in building community and brand loyalty. You’ll lead content creation across all major platforms, manage the social calendar and collaborate closely with our Founder & CEO to bring our brand vision to life. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and is equally comfortable ideating strategy as they are shooting, editing and starring in content.

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation:
  • Conceptualize, shoot and edit engaging photo and video content for Instagram, TikTok and emerging social platforms.
  • Create content optimized for each platform, including short-form video, Reels, TikTok trends, BTS and static imagery.
  • Develop innovative, on-brand storytelling formats that drive engagement.
  • Act as on-camera talent when needed for TikTok, Instagram Reels and live content.
  • Build out and pitch creative concepts for seasonal campaigns, product launches and cultural moments.
  • Source props, styling elements and locations for shoots when necessary.
  • Maintain a consistent visual identity and tone across all visual and written content.
  • Work cross-functionally with the creative and marketing teams to align content with larger brand campaigns.
  • Social Media Management:
  • Own and manage the social content calendar to ensure a balanced mix of product, lifestyle and community-driven content.
  • Write captions and develop copy that resonates with our audience while staying true to the brand voice.
  • Schedule and publish posts, ensuring timely delivery and coordination across time zones and event dates.
  • Monitor day-to-day performance, engagement and community sentiment.
  • Respond to comments, DMs and community interactions in a tone that reflects Hill House’s brand voice.
  • Oversee coordination of user-generated content and influencer reposts.
  • Track KPIs (engagement, reach, follower growth) and prepare reports to guide strategy.
  • Strategy & Growth:
  • Stay up to date on cultural moments, trending audio and emerging content formats to keep Hill House ahead of the curve.
  • Identify and pitch creative opportunities to increase reach and brand awareness.
  • Analyze performance metrics and iterate on content strategy to improve engagement and conversion.
  • Collaborate with the larger marketing team to amplify campaign messaging across social.
  • Test new platform features and content strategies to drive innovation.
  • Brainstorm influencer and creator partnerships that complement organic content strategies.
  • Create content playbooks and best practices for internal and external collaborators.

Who You Are

  • 1-3 years of experience in social media management, content creation or a similar role.
  • Deeply immersed in social media culture with a strong understanding of platform-specific nuances.
  • Comfortable with content creation from start to finish: ideation, filming, editing and publishing.
  • Skilled in video editing tools and basic photo editing.
  • Confident and personable on-camera with a sense of humor and relatability.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Data-driven, with the ability to translate analytics into actionable insights.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with availability for occasional nights/weekends for events or launches.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment but can work independently and proactively.

Compensation
