About the Role:

Point Wild is building the Trailblazer AI Team—a dedicated group focused on applying AI to enhance our products, drive business growth, and deliver real-world impact across multiple product lines (antivirus, VPN, identity protection, password management, and more). As the Team Lead / Senior AI Engineer, you’ll be at the helm of this initiative, owning AI execution, guiding technical strategy, and coding alongside the team to bring AI solutions from concept to production.

This is a player-coach role—perfect for someone who thrives in both leadership and hands-on engineering. You’ll work closely with R&D teams, define the AI roadmap, manage execution, and ensure all AI efforts are impactful, scalable, and aligned with business needs.

Day to Day:

  • Lead & Execute: Manage the execution of the AI roadmap, ensuring AI initiatives align with business objectives and drive measurable impact.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with R&D teams across multiple product lines to scope, prioritize, and deliver AI-powered features and capabilities.
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the single technical point of contact for AI initiatives, providing expert guidance on architecture, model selection, and deployment.
  • Hands-on Development: Write production-level code, submit PRs, and review team contributions—ensuring high-quality AI solutions with best practices in software engineering and MLOps.
  • Code Quality & Best Practices: Conduct PR reviews, uphold rigorous engineering standards, and mentor engineers to elevate AI development across the company.
  • Scalability & Operationalization: Ensure AI solutions are deployable, maintainable, and optimized for real-world performance.

What you bring to the table:

  • AI & ML Expertise: Strong background in applied machine learning, inclusive of deep learning and natural language processing, with experience deploying AI in production.
  • Software Engineering Skills: Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and cloud-based ML deployment (AWS preferred).
  • Product-Minded Approach: Ability to translate AI capabilities into tangible product improvements that impact users.
  • Leadership & Execution: Experience leading AI projects and mentoring engineers, with a track record of delivering AI-powered features in production.
  • Startup Mentality: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-impact environment where prioritization and execution are key.
  • Previous experience with security software, particularly antivirus or endpoint protection solutions.
  • Fluent English
