CI/CD Automation Engineer

Remote role Full-time Open position

We are looking for a skilled and motivated CI/CD Engineer to support the development, testing, and deployment lifecycle of our Home Gateway products built on prplOS and integrated with prplMesh. This role will be work in designing CI/CD pipelines, managing build infrastructure, and automating the deployment of embedded Linux-based firmware across various platforms. This is an onsite role in our Chennai office.

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines. 

  • Manage build systems for embedded targets using Yocto or OpenWRT build frameworks. 

  • Implement monitoring and logging for build and deployment stability. 

  • Collaborate with QA and development teams to support test automation, including integration with tools like Robot Framework, Jenkins, and custom mesh testing frameworks. 

  • Maintain and monitor build agents, artifact repositories (Artifactory), and container environments (Docker). 

  • Set up virtualization or hardware-based test labs for validating mesh features, including EasyMesh™ controller/agent topologies. 

  • Support software release management and OTA (Over-The-Air) update processes, including rollback and recovery. 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Build & Release Engineering, preferably in embedded systems or networking products. 

  • Experience with OpenWRT, Yocto, prplOS, or similar embedded Linux frameworks. 

  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI. 

  • Strong knowledge in scripting (Python, Bash, Shell) for automation and tooling. 

  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) 

  • Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, TR-069/USP, EasyMesh, IEEE 1905.1) 

  • Experience working with embedded hardware, test jigs, or remote device management.
