Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Front-End Engineer to lead the redesign, rebrand, and modernization of a major digital gift card platform. This role will focus on elevating the user experience through mobile-first optimization, performance enhancements, and embedded promotional tools. A critical part of the role involves building and documenting reusable UI components in Storybook and integrating with Contentful, the platform’s CMS. The ideal candidate is a hands-on React expert who thrives in fast-paced environments and has experience collaborating across distributed teams and directly with clients.

• Lead the front-end redesign and rebranding of a widely used digital gifting application

• Optimize mobile usability, responsiveness, and performance across devices

• Integrate gift cards as a native component within a larger fintech ecosystem

• Improve digital setup and customer experience to boost activation and engagement

• Develop high-quality, reusable UI components using Storybook

• Implement and maintain CMS integrations using Contentful

• Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG standards) across all front-end implementations

• Write and maintain unit tests using React Testing Library and Jest

• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams across global regions

• Communicate effectively with client stakeholders and internal teams

• 5+ years of front-end development experience, with at least 2 years in a lead role

• Expert-level proficiency in:

  • React & Redux (state management)

  • Storybook (for component development and documentation)

  • Contentful (or similar headless CMS platforms)

  • Tailwind CSS or other utility-first frameworks

  • React Testing Library / Jest (unit testing)

• Strong command of accessibility (WCAG) standards and best practices

• Excellent client-facing communication and collaboration skills

• Experience working with distributed/remote teams

• Demonstrated ability to deliver scalable, performant front-end applications
