Overview : Seeking a seasoned Data Analyst/Technical Lead with 10+ years of experience to support BI and data platform migration initiatives in an onshore role. The ideal candidate will have deep SQL expertise, strong communication skills, and experience leading or coordinating projects across global teams. A background in BI/reporting migration and working closely with business stakeholders is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as onshore lead, coordinating with business users and offshore teams for BI/data migration projects.
  • Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries; lead the migration of legacy logic to AWS Redshift.
  • Redesign and consolidate legacy queries to create scalable, efficient, and maintainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Prepare quick design documents and participate in workshops to review with stakeholders.
  • Ensure data integrity, reporting continuity, and performance optimization post-migration.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and lead sprint execution from an onshore perspective.
  • Mentor and support offshore team members, ensuring alignment and delivery quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in data analysis, SQL development, and data platform projects.
  • Strong experience working as an onshore tech lead or coordinator on large-scale data initiatives.
  • Expert-level SQL skills—comfortable analysing, writing, and optimizing complex queries.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift, including SQL migration and performance tuning.
  • Proven track record in BI and data migration projects (e.g., Teradata/Hadoop to Redshift).
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL pipelines, and modern data architectures.
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and/or SAP BusinessObjects (Must Have).
  • Agile mindset—proactive, accountable, and delivery-focused.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Collaborative team player comfortable working across technical and business domains.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to AWS Glue, S3, Athena.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD for data workflows.
  • Understanding of the Insurance (P&C) domain.
