Regional Sales Manager for a Leading HVAC Manufacturer Location: Remote (Northeast U.S.) | Travel: ~50% within region | Direct Hire Seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager with a strong background in HVAC systems and engineered mechanical solutions. This is a direct hire opportunity with a fast-growing, highly respected manufacturer that serves industrial, commercial, and institutional clients across the Northeast U.S. You must be located in the Northeast.

About the Role

As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be the strategic leader for sales growth in your territory, driving results and building lasting client relationships in the HVAC industry. You’ll lead a team of reps focused on application-based sales, help shape market strategy, and serve as the go-to expert for product placement and customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and mentor a high-performing regional HVAC sales team
  • Drive market penetration across verticals like industrial, education, and healthcare
  • Manage key distributor relationships and channel partner performance
  • Collaborate with leadership to hit revenue and margin targets
  • Lead product launches and position solutions to engineering and contractor communities
  • Coach reps on project quoting, lead generation, and CRM utilization
  • Represent the brand at trade shows, ASHRAE events, and industry-specific marketing initiatives
  • Use data to improve sales funnel performance, margins, and market share

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of sales management experience in HVAC, mechanical equipment, or building systems
  • Strong understanding of rep/distributor networks and engineered product sales
  • Skilled in CRM tools, forecasting, and strategic territory planning
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and customer engagement skills
  • up to 50% travel required
