Job title: Tutor - Early Childhood Education Company: McHenry County College Job description : Work Week Spring, Summer, and Fall opportunities. Schedule will be on an as needed basis. Position Summary Tutor and assist students in academic studies in math and science for success. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Tutor students' day and/or evening hours; remote/online or on campus Analyze student needs Answer student questions and clarify areas of concern Guide student development Assist in maintaining a clean and safe learning environment Review classroom or curricula topics and assignments Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research and other academic tasks Work with students to help them understand key concepts, learned in the classroom Teach skills to improve academic performance, including study strategies, note-taking skills and approaches to answering test questions Demonstrate academic best practices for specific subjects and assignments, including research and writing tactics Track progress, identify areas of improvement and help set goals for exam preparation Provide students positive and constructive feedback Perform other related duties as assigned Required Qualifications College tutoring experience required.
